Self-care has long been recognized as essential for clinicians. However, the term is often oversimplified—reduced to surface-level solutions promoted by a multibillion-dollar wellness industry. Our team is developing a more meaningful approach: a validated scale to measure self-stewardship among nurses, doctors, social workers, and chaplains practicing in healthcare.
