AARP is hosting a free Student Loan Forgiveness Workshop on Wednesday, April 10 about how to use the Savi platform which allows nurses and others to explore debt forgiveness options that may be available, as well ways to manage loan repayments. Sign up here!

The American Academy of Nursing is seeking applications and nominations for the 2024 Equity-Minded Nurse Awards Program, a national awards program to recognize nurses who are helping lead the way to health equity through practice, education, research, or leadership. Learn more here. We applaud Jacquelyn Taylor, PhD, PNP-BC, RN, FAHA, FAAN, RWJF Nurse Faculty Scholar Alum for being named the PI of the five-year R38 Health Equity StARR Program awarded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute on February 7th, 2024 for $2.1 million.

Congratulations to Nelson Tuazon, DNP, DBA, RN, NEA-BC, CENP, CNE, FACHE, FNAP, FAAN, (RWJ Executive Nurse Fellow Cohort 2008-2011) on receiving the Dr. Luther Christman Award by the American Nurses Association. Dr. Tuazon's dedication to supporting and mentoring nurses, particularly student nurses, from diverse backgrounds reflects the essence of the Dr. Luther Christman Award. Dr. Tuazon will be receiving the award at a reception on the evening of Thursday, June 27, 2024, during the 2024 American Nurses Association (ANA) Membership Assembly at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, DC.
